Idle is required; talking, blink and blink-talking are optional.
- 2Start the talk test
Allow the microphone and talk normally.
- 3Tune
Move the threshold until normal speech opens the mouth and keyboard clicks don’t. Try the green-screen background.

Does the tester record my voice?
No. It reads your microphone’s volume level in this tab with the Web Audio API. Nothing is recorded, stored or uploaded.
Which images do I need?
At least an idle image (mouth closed). Add talking, blink and blink-talking images to see the full effect.
Why does my avatar jump when it talks?
Your images are different sizes or the character sits in a different spot. Put every state on the same canvas, aligned.
What does the threshold slider do?
It sets how loud you must be before the mouth opens. Set it just above your room noise.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, in browsers that allow microphone access; you’ll be asked for permission.
Can I export from here?
This page only tests. To make a matching four-state set, use the PNGTuber maker.
